One-hundred-and-thirty-seven online poker players won Bad Beat and Royal Flush bonuses through September in the Bodog poker room. These players licked wounds and celebrated bonuses ranging from $5 to $400 for taking Bad Beats and hitting Royal Flushes.

Two of the lucky players managed to be in the right place at the same time. On the $1/$2 NL Holdem table ”˜Aviators’, player sevensfull77 was dealt K-K pre-flop and was likely licking his chops anticipating the flop. sevensfull77’s pre-flop raise was called by mich_alumni and ernvaksld with the remaining six players passing in favor of watching the action play out.

The flop, a three-card flush, came down 10c-Jc-Kc and sevensfull77 lead out the betting with his flopped set of Kings. ernvaksld folded out of the hand and mich_alumni made the call. The turn brought the 7s. sevensfull77 lead the betting again, only to then face the decision on mich_alumni’s raise. A call was made and the river brought sevensfull77 the last K. Holding Quad Kings, and likely the lock hand, sevensfull77 fired out a bet sufficient to cover mich_alumni’s remaining stack – and without delay, mich_alumni snap called to reveal Ac, Qc for a Royal Flush of clubs to take down the $417 pot.

sevensfull77’s pain was reduced when a $200 Bad Beat bonus hit his account. mich_alumni further celebrated the win with an additional $100 Royal Flush bonus for hitting the commonly elusive monster hand.
